Thank you for an Incredible 2022 Season
Friends:
Over the last three weeks, we have gathered to celebrate global theatre during the 2022 International Voices Project (IVP). I can’t begin to express how grateful I am that we could join together, in person, to celebrate one of the oldest art forms, storytelling.
During this year's festival, audiences were able to experience a range of emotions from playwrights around the world and were able to offer their own insights, pose questions or just thank the performers. Interacting with you always has such a powerful effect on me. It lets me know that you care as much as I do about this organization and its mission.
International Voices Project has, for 12 seasons, created opportunities to experience works that often go on to become full productions. IVP has never charged admission and continues to pay all of the artists who share their talents with us. And for that I say "Thank you!" I thank you for supporting us and I also thank our staff that works diligently, all around the world, to make the festival possible each year.
We look forward to sharing more with you throughout the season. Your support makes this possible. Every donation is tax deductible and goes to keep the programming strong and independent.
We will be in touch soon, and until then, be well.

IVP 2022 Festival
International Voices Project (IVP) is proud to announce its return to live performance with the 12th season of play readings by playwrights from around the world, September 12 – 28th, at the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, 31 W. Ohio St.
The International Voices Project is the largest event of its kind in the country and introduces Chicago audiences to some of the most exciting voices on the international theater scene. IVP champions the work of global playwrights by creating opportunities to experience new and contemporary international plays in urban settings and on stages in Chicago. It celebrates the mother tongue and fosters work that brings native languages to the forefront. From its inception, Chicago was conceived as the crossroads of the country. International Voices Project fosters new translations, supports the work of translators, and creates ongoing relationships with playwrights from the five continents.
Live readings will be held with an audience talk back and Q+A with key members of that night’s production, immediately following the readings. Doors open at 6 p.m. with readings beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Performances are FREE to the public and reservations are required. DONATIONS help keep the festival free!
