TELL THE STORY. CHANGE THE WORLD.

WELCOME TO THE INTERNATIONAL VOICES PROJECT 2024 FESTIVAL

SEASON 14 | October 28 - November 25, 2024 | Instituto Cervantes Chicago

Thank you for supporting us on this extraordinary journey. Our mission is to bring global diversity to Chicago stages and our annual reading series is a great example of living into that mission. The readings have been and will remain free because of the financial support we receive from our partners and audience. We hope that you will come to as many readings as possible and will continue your vital support.

We are trying something new this year. We are presenting five plays this fall and five plays next Spring. Each reading is followed by a talkback and complimentary reception.

This is possible because of the incredible support we receive from our incredible host, Instituto Cervantes Chicago

SEASON 14 | October 28 - November 25, 2024 | Instituto Cervantes Chicago

International Voices Project (IVP) is proud to announce its return to live performance with the 14th season of play readings by playwrights from around the world, October 28 - November 25, 2024, at the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, 31 W. Ohio St.

The International Voices Project is the largest event of its kind in the country and introduces Chicago audiences to some of the most exciting voices on the international theater scene. IVP champions the work of global playwrights by creating opportunities to experience new and contemporary international plays in urban settings and on stages in Chicago. It celebrates the mother tongue and fosters work that brings native languages to the forefront. From its inception, Chicago was conceived as the crossroads of the country. International Voices Project fosters new translations, supports the work of translators, and creates ongoing relationships with playwrights from the five continents.

Staged readings will begin promptly at 6 PM followed by a talkback. Performances are FREE to the public and reservations are not required.
